Data Collection As a teacher, I think that I will be using data collection a lot throughout my educational career. Microsoft Excel is a huge tool with gathering information, creating tables, and formulas. I have used it in my marketing internship, just to gather information about social media and compare it to the past. As an educator, I feel like I can apply this to anything administrative for my students, whether it be grading, attendance or projects. For grades, I could figure out students' averages or what they need to get on an assignment to do well in the class. In the realm of surveys, I would be interested in using Qualtrics to gather information from parents of students. ILP Design: Canva

For my ILP Design, I did a Voicethread about Canva. Check it out here: https://voicethread.com/share/12395674/  I wanted to do my ILP on Canva because it is a technology that I already use all the time. I am familiar with basic graphic design and creating graphics for an organization that I am a part of. I have never created anything for an educational purpose, so I thought it would be helpful to me, and my classmates, to explore this. Flipgrid I've used Flipgrid to record my opinion on "The Flipped Classroom." Check it out on our group page! Open Educational Resources On the OER Commons website, it says, "Open Educational Resources (OER) offer opportunities for systemic change in teaching and learning content through engaging educators in new participatory processes and effective technologies for engaging with learning." Their goal is allow teachers to be more than just instructors and collaborate with one another, to improve the quality of learning for their students. On their website, they have thousands of resources available on all kinds of subjects, ranging from math to law. After choosing what subject you want a resource from, you can go even further searching. Each resource has a rating from other teachers and a brief overview of what the resource will include.
